How old are these batteries?

Most batteries seem to be past their use by date. The two I received did not. Both my battery tester and multimeter have determined that both batteries are bad. I was trying to replace a dead battery in my watch but according to my battery tester and multimeter it had more power than any of the supposedly new batteries. New batteries should be 1.5v but only put out 0.8v and 0.7v with a resistive load compared to 1.0v from the 4 year old battery in my watch.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Two batteries, BOTH dead on arrival!

Ordered two batteries for two different watches, BOTH batteries were dead on arrival. The box was also suspicious - it looked like the box in the store, except for one thing - in the top left corner where the CVS version has an expiration date printed, this box is blank. There is NO expiration date on the front or back, which is very surprising for a reputable company like Duracell. Waste of time and money and due to the lack of expiry date I would NOT trust again!

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Any negative comments about these batteries being bad out of the box are so ignorance, the batteries are fine 1.52v-1.55v when tested on a meter will. However, these batteries are size 370 and the Ronda 715/other Swiss movements do not have a strong enough connection to these batteries to restart the movement after it has stood still 90% of the time. Stick to buying Swiss Renata 371 or Energizer 371 batteries, like the ones in my Victorinox Inox. Not those falsely advertised 370s. Yes, "1"…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Will be added later
