It was a pleasant surprise. I didn't expect such a nice, strong and durable square set at this price. Easy to clamp, strong enough not to bend, light enough and easy to work with. Highly recommended. Three out of four are slightly wrong. A deviation of 0.11° is possible. No problem when working with wood. Today's tools give us the ability to go crazy because we can measure things we couldn't measure before.

  • This is great

Square and stable out of the box.

They are great. I compared them to the squares on Starrett's car. They are within 1/128th of their length inside and out. This is more than enough for working with wood. If you want to fine tune them you can always use a scraper or plane to make them perfect. I didn't stress test her to see what force it would take to bring her out of her true state. All in all a very solid construction. I recommend them to help you put your projects together nicely and also to keep crush marks on your piece.

Pros
  • Used as part of a table saw attachment
Cons
  • weak

Square enough for measuring and marking tools

Other reviewers noted that they aren't very accurate, which is fair. But they're plastic and cost $5 each, so set your expectations accordingly. They don't pretend to be the squares of an exact machinist. If you need precision, grab some 1-2-3 blocks or metal squares. One thing I noticed about mine is that they were all at least *consistently* not square. The inside corner is slightly sharp, which appears to be a design flaw (ignoring mold shrinkage). But they're close enough and cheap enough…

Pros
  • Made of high quality plastic

  • Some bugs

They're as square as can be

While smaller than some people are looking for, they're an all-around good positioning square. If you're working on something longer than 4 feet, you might not like it. I recently used them on a 30" sided suitcase I made. It was important that the sides were very close to a square. These positioning squares worked great. I was working in confined spaces and not following the rules would prevent me from inserting a protected item. Now for the perfect square; If you add 50 feet to the sides for…
