Great little gadget!

I like it. My fitness watch needs to be charged via USB. I don't like pulling out my laptop every time. That works great. Now I can share my phone's power cord with my watch cord! Excellent purchase!

A very handy gadget in the field of computer accessories and peripherals

This is a very unique and handy gadget. You rarely find something like this around. In many cases you want to connect a USB Type-C cable to a regular USB Type-A to connect a USB Type-A device to Type-C. I am very happy with this gadget. PS The price fits too.

Couldn't charge iPhone

I have a USB-C charger and USB-C cable and wanted to charge my iPhone using a Lightning cable with an adapter in the middle. I know the charger, USB-C cable and Lightning cable are good. It was not possible to place this adapter in the middle. iPhone will not charge. I sent the adapters back on credit.

Do it yourself, junk

Didn't do the right thing, so. i opened it Outer layer of tin, difficult to peel off. Places for resistors on pins a8 and b8. I prefer a5 and b5. But the data lines are already combined for a simple 5V PD mod.

Does not work with computer cable adapters

As noted here, this product clearly suffers from a poor/incorrect implementation of USB power delivery. My device was not working due to lack of power. This may or may not work in your circumstances. It would be great if the reviewer who disassembled and modified this thing would re-post more details about their mod and/or if anyone knows of another such adapter that works with devices that require power.

Total failure of this product! Don't buy this.

I only bought six of these adapters; tested it with 2 different USB-C sources and it didn't supply +5V to the side of USB3 Type A. As far as I can tell the USB-C PD pins CC1 and CC2 were implemented incorrectly so there is no + 5 gives Q on the USB Type A side. My USB tester didn't show +5V either, so there's no doubt this is a complete bug and just trying to scam customers. Don't waste your time and money.
