The display has no backlight and is difficult to read unless you have a very well-lit area. The description says it works with mailers that have an automatic weight option. That's not the case. My turtle (red ear slider) is sick and I need something to turn it on and off by weight. I force fed him and was able to tell how much he ate, how much he peed etc. The vet was impressed.
