This is a great heater, this is my third heater. Garage, cellar and outbuildings. Excellent heat, reliable and not bad from the decorative side. (It's good to be better). The fan is also loud, which is a shame. I say that because I wouldn't buy this unit without a fan. It blows heat into everything and in my opinion it is necessary. The fan is noisy, but you get used to it. Excellent purchase

I bought two of these and installed them before realizing they weren't thermostat controlled and would keep working no matter how hot your house was or it had to be turned on and off all the time. I have used many heaters like this for years and never faced this problem. Although the heating method is stated as forced air, the fan does not turn on. That's an additional $42. The device is comfortable and generates heat, but lacks the basics to make it useful around the home.

Oh my god, this thing does its job! No smell of gas, just pleasant warmth. The one I bought has an internal thermostat so I can leave the heater on and turn it on and off when the room gets cold. I finally set this device up the way I had it to back up what I already had. This is a nice heater. It seems to work fine, but there are some downsides I've found. You can burn yourself on these bikes, positioned to protect you from the flames. Also note that it is very difficult to adjust the gas valve when it is cold. It seems to me that the valve that controls the adjustment doesn't work well when the temperature is below 50 Fahrenheit. Sometimes it's a hassle just getting it over the firing

Edited Add: This model is NOT THERMOSTATIC CONTROLLED. I answered some of the questions above because I thought they were for a model we later bought that has a thermostat. The same heater is available with thermostat control. It should be clarified that this is a hand heater with no thermostat control. You have another model that we offer for exchange. Very easy install. Yes, this device does not come with a fan, it is an optional extra as stated in the description.
