I bought this because I found a nail in a nearly new $300 motorcycle tire with less than 3000 miles on it. I did NOT want to change this rubber! When the package arrived I went straight to the shop and installed the repair connector following the well written instructions (I also watched a very good YouTube video). Nice to see an American company making such a great product! Works very well and is very compact, ideal for motorcycle and car tires. I actually tested it on both of my cars with roof nails in two tires, grrrr. Worked great although I have to say it takes quite a bit of force to successfully slide the device into the hoop so make sure you have a good footing. Although this is not so important. The tool is really well made. Compact and easy to use. I'm not sure what the purpose of the plastic case is, but it should prevent the tool from getting scratched if you leave it in your toolbox or trunk/saddlebags. The cleaning tip didn't seem all that necessary for my repair, but should help with the small hole to prepare the connector.
