Picture quality is good, plays in HD mode which is nice, and also in "normal" TV mode for older TVs like my friend's. This is a good little DVD player for the money. Only thing is we've only had it a month and the remote control doesn't work anymore. It's either that or the DVD player's receiver isn't working, but I haven't tried changing the battery yet so I can't tell. Great compact little DVD player. It copes well with scratches and problematic discs, it's never just hung. The DVD player itself is small and fits into tight spaces very easily. It has a great playback feature, so even if you turn off the player, it remembers where the video left off and quickly resumes playback. I needed a DVD player that was compatible with my old TV, but all I could find at retail were expensive, new-fangled HGs and internet devices that were out of the question. My Dynex DVD player costs less than a third of what others cost and that's exactly what I was looking for. However, there are two disadvantages.
