There is approximately 1/2 inch of play in the down or closed position. Doesn't close tightly like on the product picture. I threw them away.

It's a bit thicker than the OEM pen and maybe a little shorter, but it fits with more clearance and works well. 3 extras. I think I'll leave them for Next time, the needle somehow falls off and gets lost in the snow.

A previous reviewer pointed out that there is a 1/2 inch gap between the locking ring and the pin when closed. They have 1/4 to 1/2 inch play BUT the snap ring is reversed on the other side. closes the gap completely. In other words, if you have a gap, pull the pen, rotate it 180 degrees, and reinsert it.
