This is a normal box. The same can be done at home. We sent it back because we just decided to buy a box at a stereo store instead. I'm sure if that's what you need you'll be fine. But I needed something other than that so I sent it back. There are no problems with returns. It also arrived on time. However, be sure to look for slightly better quality if you want clear sound.

Internal volume is 0.81 cubic feet, not 0.67 as listed. The dimensions in the description are correct. It's a decent box, except for the end cap, you should seal it or replace it with something better. Very upset because I wanted to use it for an Alpine X subwoofer with an optimal cabinet volume of, you guessed it, 0.67cc. This box is still in the acceptable size range, I just wish they would post the correct information on the products they sell.

I really wanted to write a better review for this product. Instead, I unfortunately write the opposite of what I wanted. The box came in very good condition, no problems with wood or carpet. It has a very "sticky" taste as you say, but that has nothing to do with quality. He does his job very well! The box is fine. Sounds good, but I have a few questions. When installing the subwoofer, I squeezed the cone and there were serious air leaks in the box. The first leak was an extremely cheap terminal on the side. There was free flow of air through the cup, mainly the spring terminals themselves. Before I bought this I read several one or two star reviews that some people reported air leaks when installing the adapter, probably due to cheap or non-existent sealant. So before I added my adapter or tested the enclosure with the subwoofer inside, I liberally sealed the internal joints and between the enclosure and the input jack with clear silicone caulk.
