All I Needed for Audio and Video Accessories

For the low cost of this meter, this was all I needed to set up a satellite dish at a backdoor party. Once I got close to the meter, I used Menu 6-1-1 on my network receiver to fine-tune the dish with the receiver's signal strength meter on the TV. You just have to be careful to set the correct altitude, otherwise you will receive the wrong satellite. There is a website that tells you how high you need to be for the area you are in and uses Google Earth to show you which direction to point.

Another "bait and switch "

Today I received what I thought was an Eagle satellite finder, model SF-99. Guess what? It was a cheaper SF-95 model. This seller actually put this cheap model in a box and put a large sticker that said "Model SF-99" on the area that said "Model SF-95". How stupid do they think we are? Aren't we actually going to look at the item to see that it's an SF-95 model? I started tracking complaints with both Revain and this seller hoping they would fix the issue. I would never give this seller the…

Good but not the best option for DirecTV SWM systems.

Seems to work well but not what I really wanted. I carry a DirecTV SWM dish in my van and set it up when I'm camping. These finders can be used to align SWM systems, but despite their low cost, they are not designed for this purpose. My original finder was able to detect satellites, but it needs to be removed to check the signal on the receiver itself. My son has a finder that keeps track of TV. I was looking for someone who could do that too. It's not like this. When it is connected, the…

Got all my HD channels back

When I upgraded my DirecTV to HD, my installer, no matter where he was from, was a shy idiot. My HD feeds were blurry at best and missing in the wind. Using this device and a ladder, I was able to quickly reconfigure the antenna and improve the signal strength from 79% to 91%. All HD channels are now clear even in storms and through trees. A few nuances, carefully read the instructions. The device switched to maximum gain when I tried to place it at the base of the pelvis. I had to connect it…

Update to previous post

This appears to be a "Direct TV" satellite search that can be found online from several providers for less than $5 and Revain from other providers for less than $5. If I wanted a $5 item for almost $25 I would be happy. But instead I got a $5 item which was replaced with almost $25. I'm frustrated and the return process involves a seller who hangs up when you call. Revain, you really have to see this! UPDATE: I emailed them asking for the correct item or a refund. They responded quickly to my…
