Description of EA8F Earthquake - 8 Inch Earth Diameter

RUGGED- Constructed of durable steel, heavy-duty welds and a powder coat finish. Complete with fishtail point and replaceable blades your auger will stand the test of time. DURABLE- The Flex Coil Shock Absorber lessens the impact on the user’s upper body when the auger hits a stubborn root or rock. Making your hard work a little less hard on your body. RIGHT SIZED- At 36” long, the Earthquake auger makes drilling easy for standing upright when starting or drilling deeper on larger projects. Other augers skimp on length, know the difference. PAIRS WITH – Earthquake models E43, Dually, Earthquake 2 Man Powerheads. Optional extensions available in various lengths. GREAT FOR- Decks, mailboxes, fences, tree planting and multiple other landscaping and agriculture needs.

Great labor saving tool

This tool saved me this spring. I injured my shoulder and was afraid to dig holes with my hands. My son and I used this 8 inch drill bit to make holes for planting small trees. We already had an excavator. At the beginning of March everything worked perfectly.

Pros
  • Electric Drill Parts & Accessories
Cons
  • I'll write later

Well-made and durable drill

This drill was of the expected quality. It's on par with previous earthquake bits I've had. The fishtail tip is excellent for penetrating hard ground. The 8" bit is a lot more aggressive in the mud than the 6" bit I've used for years. Make sure you have a firm grip on the powerhead in case you catch a root and if you are a man make sure the tenders are not lined up with the powerhead. You're going to have a bad day with quickness if you catch a root and get hit in the tenders. Great, well made…

Pros
  • Power and hand tools
Cons
  • Was damaged

Worked great on my Eskimo Ramp

I recently started building a deck in my house that required a total of 12 holes 36" deep. That mud blade worked great, the Eskimo power head was strong enough and luckily the gearbox worked well. I went into the project dreading day one as I started the holes. It was still a lot of work and I had to use an excavator to dig through the large rocks I encountered, but the mud drill saved me a lot of time and labor. My only advice is if you need to go deeper than 25 or 30 inches, get an extension.

Pros
  • Drill Bit
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
