Should have paid more attention to other reviews. I opened it up and it looked fine. I had to cut the end off to fit the washing machine drain. Everything went smoothly. I hooked it to the edge of the laundry tub and during the first wash it cracked where the hose entered the hook and water flooded the entire basement. DO NOT BUY!

After 70 days (we don't know exactly, maybe it's day 3 or 68) there was a leak. The way we first installed it in the sink, we wouldn't know there was a leak. However, as soon as we attached the drain hose to the drain in the wall, a mess formed around the washing machine. If we bought the item from a major retailer, we may be able to return the item and get a refund.

Works! We have an old washing machine and finding the perfect fit with the new wash hoses was almost impossible. We searched all major department stores and the hoses were either too big, too small or not long enough. This item gave us the ability to cut it to the exact size we needed without compromising or worrying about future water spills. I highly recommend this product if you are in a similar situation.

I cut a cheap original hose with our ladder's leg and it started leaking so I looked for options. Our washing machine doesn't have a connection at the back - you have to remove the front bottom cover and cut the hose where it connects to the pump and it worked great! All it needs is a spring clip - I had one of my old mechanics that worked great so we're back in business. I also like that it's longer than the original.

This hose fits my Kenmore washing machine perfectly. It supports multiple outlet sizes so you simply cut the hose where it connects to the washing machine to get the right size for your machine. (I had the smallest size.) It's long, which is perfect since I had to move the washing machine a little farther from the sink. It works on my GE washing machine but for how long its very thin material will fail quickly. This will most likely flood my basement in the near future. I long for the days when these things were thick rubber and lasted the life of the car. You're buying a $500 clothes dryer that depends entirely on a cheap drain hose. After reading the reviews I was in the mood for a quick return. After watching various videos from other buyers, I'm pretty convinced that the manufacturer used vinyl that was too hard or didn't have enough plasticizer. NOT A SINGLE fragility I've seen in various negative reviews. However, fearing the worst, I made sure there were no sharp turns in my setup and that the hose was midway so it wouldn't sag from the weight of the water. So far, so good. This is a pretty good hose and as it is very versatile it should fit most washing machine drains. I have a Maytag top loading washing machine with the original black drain hose which looks and feels like a car radiator hose. Well, this hose is very thick, but stiff, and over time it just breaks at the joint and leaks when the washing machine drains the water.
