This solved my GPU problem (fan runs at maximum then display goes black). Disassembled my old GTX 980 to replace the thermal pads but the problem persisted. I bought this as a last resort, knowing that copper is a good conductor of heat. Disc size is ideal for large chips. For smaller chips I have to cut some in half.
