Used once, the attached image is one of the many reasons I keep coming back. In addition to the ugly discoloration, it also leaked when the water started to boil at the seal to the top. The handle feels insanely hot. No sound (should whistle) when coasting. In general, a terrible moka.

This is my fifth moka. I originally started using the Original Bialetti on a gas stove twenty years ago and then switched to other induction cookware. For such a large pot, I make perfect coffee in exactly five minutes. The water from the pan flows completely into the pot without dripping back, so there is no waste. The moka pot is very well made and of high quality. I love the design and think the mocha pot looks great. The lid is nice and heavy and when closed it fits snugly on top of the pot. The handle is solid and solid and has not yet been heated by the electric stove. The exterior is polished while the interior of the lower water tank is unpolished and appears to have some sort of coating, but it's hard to tell if there's actually a coating or not as the pot is brand new. I hate giving bad reviews so I write the good ones first. This thing seems solid and heavy for the most part. I had a thread that was "skewed" (see second photo, the top is not parallel to the bottom when tightened). Not so hot what's up. Prepares coffee in small batches.
