NOT 100% beeswax, mind you.

100% unnatural and NOT real beeswax. The smell was incredibly chemical and fake. I am returning this product as soon as possible.

Buyer warning! on wax

I have just made candles with this and this product is not as good as others I have purchased from other suppliers. I compared it next to my previously made candle and this candle burns faster and drips. The other, older one, smells better, is lighter, lasts twice as long and does NOT drip. I doubt it is as described.

Made in China

Made in China. I assumed it was from Michigan and was disappointed that it wasn't made in the USA. It smells like a mixture of paraffin and beeswax. We used about half the packet and halved and quartered a few leaves to make smaller candles. We used a hair dryer to heat the end to secure it. It worked very well. Candles burn well. I took a hemp wick from EricX, also made in China.

Pros
  • Wax
Cons
  • No Instructions

Very disappointed

I found this beeswax too brittle to roll into candles without breaking or falling apart. I tried reheating it in the microwave before rolling but it didn't help. It also felt dry in the sense that it didn't stick to itself like beeswax when unrolled. The only thing I can think of besides throwing it in the bin is trying to melt it down and shape it.

Less than wavy but probably still ok?

Together with the students I made candles out of them. I've bought sheets like this before and they were better and easier to ruffle. This material was fragile and difficult to roll. Friends who keep bees said it looks like the beeswax-like plastic they use to power their hives. When melted down and turned into a leaf, it looks like plastic sauce or something weird. It's a terrible thing.

Pros
  • Painting, handicrafts and sewing
Cons
  • A few little things
