EBC Brakes DP41655R Yellowstuff Street Review

Yellow EBC pads are the only pads that work on multiple vehicles. A specific upgrade from previous stock or stock brake pads at a local store. They stop my '06 Crv faster than equivalent standard pads.

These brake pads are great for preventing rear car crashes. However, they wear out very quickly, so I probably change the front brake once a year. That's not a problem because I service brakes myself and I enjoy working on cars and doing it.

I have the yellow stuff on my 2012 Civic SI and they behave like an OEM until you start banging them up and then they bite really hard so you don't get that super sensitive like new Mercedes feeling. At low revs it creaks a little. Plus, it's great for everyday use and spirited driving, giving you the best of both worlds.

These brakes stop time. Save one accident per year. at least. You just have. And when things get really tough and it looks like you and Fred Flintstone are about to walk through the floor and die, they grab EVEN HARDER. The brakes never go away. You saved my life at least once. Just ridiculously good, reliable brakes. The panic stops like a wall. Simply pure braking power.

Truly a great last. Installation on the 2018 Honda Civic EX Turbo was very simple and straightforward. The fit of the pad was exactly the same as the OEM without a single issue. The stopping power is INCREDIBLE, way better than standard pads. The EBC pads are great based on previous experience BUT I bought them for my 2010 Civic Si EBC part number DP41655R. I checked with Revain and other sources to confirm the part number and that they fit my car. When I received them, they were non-standard pads in size and shape, especially the caliper interface. These are good pads but I was expecting less pedal power. However, they stop and practically do not disappear when the car is driven heavily. I would say these pads are on par with the Akebono or maybe the old (American) Bendix ceramic pads. I like the fact that they produce quite a bit of dust which makes the wheels cleaner.
