This unit weighs about one pound as manufactured. The panels are sewn into a heavy ballistic nylon folder. If you are handy with a soldering iron, you can easily remove the panels from the folder and rewire them. Mine now weigh 9 oz. I can easily separate them so I can have a 6.5 w panel that weighs 4 oz. The power rating seems a little optimistic but it is close to what I have measured in the January sun.

Great Solar Panels! The reason I gave it four stars instead of five was because of the pocket where the outputs are located. It seems like the perfect place to zip up your phone. However, because of the direct sunlight most devices tend to over-heat and not charge properly. The other option is to leave the phone out, but even out of the pocket it seems to over-heat. Could an insulated pocket could keep devices at a moderate temperature? Maybe v2?
