I love this knife block - lots of storage space and good quality. I gave it 4 stars for durability as it was damaged in the corner (seen in the photo) upon delivery :( but it must have happened during packaging as the box sent was NOT damaged!

This knife holder is great, just what I was looking for! I have several 8" and 10" chef's knives and I don't like the magnetic strips. This block is perfectly designed, has several large knife slots, and is reasonably priced. Excellent work!

I used TWO block holders for my knife sets which took up too much counter space that I really couldn't save. Although slightly longer and wider, this block is perfect for combining two of my kitchen knife sets, including a sharpener and scissors. And I still have a few knife slots left! Very happy with my purchase.

KITCHENDAO 20-Slot Knife Block Eco-friendly bamboo knife holder: This is a very well-made, good-looking, heavy-duty block. Every time I see it I'm glad I bought it. It has slots wide enough to fit my global nakiri and santoku as well as their standard chef's knives. The middle slots fit my utility knives. I don't have steak knives so the small slots are used for paring knives that are too big for them.

My husband is a chef. We had three sets of knives in our kitchen, but none of them could handle their beautiful Japanese chef's knives. I looked everywhere and chose this block for both its capacity and the width of its slots. It didn't disappoint. While I wish a slot or two were wider than 2.25 inches, almost all of his knives fit nicely in this well-made block. I wasn't expecting such high quality for the price. It's well made, nicely packaged and I highly recommend it.

The seller did not keep his promise. I bought this knife block before Christmas and had an issue with an incorrectly cut slot preventing the knife from fully inserting into the slot. Wrote to seller who wanted pictures and said he would get back to me with a solution. Never heard from him without follow up or connection. I put 19 knives and a sharpener in this block. There are actually 21 slots, 19 for knives, one for a sharpening steel and one for something else? I recommend leaving at least 1/8 inch behind the end of your knives to protect the knives and countertop. The top slot can easily handle a large 11" cleaver, while the next eight 2" x 10.5" slots can accommodate almost any large knife. The bottom row of the main section has two 1 3/8" x 7 1/2" slots. It's not an expensive $100 piece of wood, but this block feels solid. It's a good solid weight, the bamboo has a nice finish, all the joints feel good, and the rubber feet are grippy enough. The center of gravity seems fairly well distributed in the back so it doesn't easily fall forward when loaded (this has happened to me before). I have full confidence in the ability of this unit to stay together and stay in place. I don't need 20 slots, but I do need more than two 2" slots, which is…
