it works great. Installation completed a few days ago

Don't worry about the included epoxy, just order JB Weld when you receive it. Everything works great with JB Weld. I finished the install a few days ago so time will tell.

Pros
  • High test scores for support and durability
Cons
  • No instructions

Damn yes! - Engines and engine parts

My problem with the removed oil pan has been solved. There are no more leaks and you don't have to unscrew either. The plug has a magnetic seal that you can easily pry off when you need to change the oil. Choose this for an aluminum oil pan. Comes with its own epoxy but I bought a jb high temp weld to make sure it actually sealed properly.

  • Stylish and modern design

Worked great with oil drain plugs

Worked great. I had the mechanic rework my oil pan to a larger size but the oil was still dripping. It worked like a charm on my old machine. I used JB's high temp weld and let it sit overnight before refilling and tightening the cork more tightly than in the video. A great idea. Update after 6 months. No leaks so far. great product

No More Leaks!: Engines & Engine Parts

This plug saved me hundreds of dollars and tedious work replacing the entire oil pan! I knew from the start that a tapered plug would suffice instead of a straight and larger plug. Having tried other plugs I am very happy with the results of this one and all I have to do to change the oil is simply pull the plug with the magnetic insert. This is an ingenious invention.

I bought a used Volvo with one owner. The owner was always there.

Bought a used Volvo with one owner. The owner always changed the oil at the quick-lube point and some grease monkey blew up the drain plug hole. It was the answer. Works as advertised. The only problem is that due to the way the bolt is made, not much oil comes out, but I can siphon off the remaining oil with the device I have. The hole in the bolt is slightly higher than the bottom of the oil pan, leaving some oil in the pan, not sure how much. But better than a new oil pan. Brilliant design.

It works BUT buy JB Weld with it. Do not use gloves. Degrease the drain hole

Make sure there is no oil in the drain hole. They say don't overtighten, but don't be afraid to tighten it well enough and tightly. If there is oil residue on the Eco-Plug, wipe it off before applying the two-part epoxy. I bought a JB Weld Steel Stick and doubled the amount of epoxy as it doesn't like to get stuck in the grooves. I had some more on the outside and spent time slowly working on it and tightening the connector. I'm very happy with the results, but had to plug in twice.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
