REGARDING THE PAD: We purchased this pad for our 10'10" x 14'5" rug. We ordered the 11' x 14' pad size so we would have only one side to trim down. We have furniture that sits on our rug and pad. The pad is 1/2 inch thick as advertised, and it is nice and "soft" under our rug. Our rug no longer "moves" on our hardwood floor; it stays exactly where we laid it. Really like this pad but you will need a non-slip pad underneath it. This pad was slippery until I did. The 3/8" thickness is perfect, not too thin. I did have to cut it back by a few inches on the long end though as it came in a bit too long. Happy with the purchase.

I figure they are smaller as to not be seen when the rug is on them, but they went too far. Nearly a 8” to 12” short on all sides.

It is really 1/2" thick; feels so nice to go from 0 padding to this. The less porous side is not rubbery, so it does need separate anti-slip layer underneath carpet and pad. Nice to know the material is recycled. The price seems exorbitant, but maybe that's because the cost of shipping such a large and unweildy package ("free") is built in?

I see many reviews on rug pads that say the pad was not as thick as advertised. Not so with us. We purchased a half inch pad and that is what we received. I measured. its also very dense. I had to trim it and is was difficult to cut which I'm pleased with. It's not sparse or fluff. It should last a long time.

I like my rug pad feels great soft and also improves my rug looks only I wish it was cut to my rug size I had to do it myself and for that reason 4 stars

I needed a rug pad under my new rug, which has a jute backing. This one is nicely thick and well made and fits the bill for my needs. It's firm so if you're looking for something squishy, this isn't it. I didn't need that with the long pile on my new rug, just something to protect my hardwood floor. It came rolled and then folded in half but that wasn't a problem. It lays flat right from the start, especially with the rug on top and then my dining room table.

It works really well to keep rugs from slipping. Can be slippery on hard floors. However, the edges curl up a lot and I'm constantly weighing them down.

Putting in massage room. Went thru all the hassle of pulling everything out of the room laying 1/2" padding then rolled out 8x10 rug. Initially thrilled until I found an obvious imperfection at the seam. Aprox 8" of rug look torn and tread bare. Im keeping it since I have clients tomorrow and need a rug on my hardwood floor. Will have to make sure its covered w furniture. Disappointed. However the rug looks great in my beach themed room.

Overall I’m pleased with this pad. I have it under a shag rug on hardwood floors. There is one coffee table over the rug so just that keeps it from slipping. A smaller rug or one without anything on it would probably slip on hardwood without taping it or somehow else securing it.
