Save a lot of money. Super easy installation!

Quality, great price and perfect fit for my 2012 Honda Fit. This is a very simple do-it-yourself installation. Do a google search for "replace your honda fit air filter" and you will find a short video to walk you through this simple installation. This saves you the ridiculous dealership cost of replacing that filter. You can do it!

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Infinitely slow

Perfect for 2013 Honda Fit

I have been buying the same motor filter for my 2013 Honda Fit for 7 years. It fits perfectly and is so easy to replace (and I'm an AARP female). Why pay the dealer $50+ to change the filter? Good price - $9.14 today. The price has only gone up $1 since I bought it last year. What can not be said about the cabin filter Ecogard. I bought it for $5 last year and now it's $12.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Negative gift

Same number of folds as OEM

I compared to an OEM filter that I also bought and the number of pleats is the same. Previous reviews have stated that it has half the pleats of the OEM filter, likely a previously replaced non-OEM filter was found in their car with too many pleats. More pleats than necessary / OEM isn't always a plus as it can restrict airflow. The filter is easily installed, fits perfectly; There is no noticeable difference in performance from the OEM.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Good but not great

2012 Honda Fit - Works

This is the perfect air filter replacement for a 2012 Honda Fit. The filter looks good. Installation is very simple: We find the air filter housing under the hood, open 4 latches, remove the cover, remove the old filter, insert a new filter, put on the cover, close 4 latches, done. It literally takes 1 minute. It's a shame to pay the typical 50-60 a car salesman asks for this simple task.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Nothing

Simple, easy to install, saves money

This filter is plug and play. It fits into a factory Honda engine filter and will probably save you $20-$30 depending on where you install it. I would suggest checking the filters every 6 months depending on how much you drive. In combination with a cabin filter, this is easy to do yourself and costs no work or 2-3 times more at the dealer or when changing the oil.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Quick, easy do-it-yourself installation.

Fits perfectly on my 2009 Honda Fit Sport with GPS. It took me about 5 minutes to open the hood, loosen the four clips holding the engine air filter in place, and then replace my old filter with this one. That being said, I would recommend that you pay close attention to how the side clips are attached. I thought I knew and when I tried to snap both side clips they bounced off the metal clips and I lost them somewhere and had to buy a replacement. Trick. It's definitely better than payingโ€ฆ

Basis Honda Fit 2013 True to size!

Matches our figure! Our 2013 Honda Fit currently has 61,000 miles on it. We took it to do an oil change at the dealer and they recommended changing the cabin and engine filters. The total cost of replacing both would be $130! $80 for the engine air filter and $50 for the cabin air filter. I searched for several brands online and decided on ECOGARD. It cost us less than $25 for both items and took me 10 minutes to install the cabin filter and air filter! (I saw the video on YouTube) I've beenโ€ฆ
