🔧 Enhance Carburetor Performance with Edelbrock 1464 Step-Up Spring Pack - Pack of 5 Review

Exactly what I needed for my 1406 carburetor to improve idle and idle response. The springs are nested within each other for packaging reasons, so 5 sets, not 5 individual springs.

Saw a YouTube video that said yellow feathers can increase fuel economy by up to 4mpg. Not installed, will update later. Edelbrock is always great! I have an AVS2 1906 650cfm carburetor with an electric choke.

I watched Uncle Tony's Garage YouTube video and he explained what those springs do. So I ordered them and tried them out. It worked! The car runs great now. It's a Chevy, so it still doesn't have any nuts, but it works well for its purpose. Rzhunimagu!

When you get fakes (I found them in a carburetor I bought on E-bay) you get confused in your head what's what if you don't pay attention to the physical characteristics Feathers. Color versions let you instantly understand what you're doing. Good price for ease of use.

The box shows the color codes of the springs and their resistance. The problem is that the feathers are not the color that is stated on the packaging. So good luck guessing which is which.

Can't understand my doubts. Coming out of idle I had no power. Carburetor misfire. Factory 1406 comes with YELLOW springs. Almost everything else comes from the factory with ORANGE springs. Went to pink (spring 2 sizes too big) and I pedaled faster. YELLOW is too light. Big blocks need a heavier spring. Hope this helped!

My truck hasn't idled since I installed the Edelbrock 1406. I thought the problem was the ignition timing but it was exactly the same so I played around with it for months. Then I found them and decided that for $10 it was worth a try. I measured the engine vacuum at the drive and got 17 inches of mercury. Divide this by two to get 8.5 and then substitute the feather that comes closest to this value, which is the natural color feather (8 Hg). The stumbling is completely gone! Hope this makes…
