I noticed that these adapters don't have polarized plugs (both pins are the same width). It's not like this; Pin contacts are definitely polarized. So my search for a non-polarized adapter for old sockets continues.

They are very cheap. You get what you pay for. They are made of very soft rubber and heat and melt very easily. Now I take about 25% of the blame. I'm in an old house. I literally smoked at least 3. I just caught that. I smelled burnt and saw the pens glow and smoke. It got so hot I could feel it through the wall about 10 inches from the plug. Please use the last resort if you live to buy them.

My one star rating is based on the pins being two different sizes, which directly contradicts the answers in the Questions and Answers section for this product. It feels like a fairly well researched product, but I can't comment on how well it performs due to the different pen sizes. Again, THE PROBES ARE TWO DIFFERENT SIZES and it would be nice if the seller could clarify this so people don't make the same mistake I did.

I live in a New York apartment which probably predates my parents in their 70's so there are few outlets and most of them are 2 pin. I have a lot of things with 3 plugs so I bought them to be able to use things like extension cords. It was a great purchase and now I don't have to worry about not being able to use something because of the number of pins on its base.

Looks ok but I haven't even used them yet. I have based my purchase on two replies I have received from other customers saying the forks are identical in size at the ends which is what I needed. They are polarized and have one tooth larger than the other. I have a device with a female end with equal sized holes (small) that is used for Christmas lights.
