Not even close

Not even close Inch units. The 1/2 inch length is 24 inches and the 1/2 inch length is 36 inches, which means the pliers aren't even regular. I doubt the reviews thought people would stretch the vinyl but no, straight out of the box it was POS. Tested with metal tape

Doesn't hold onto sewing tools

It looks good, is accurate and easy to read. It just doesn't stay. Even though I treated the area with rubbing alcohol, it began to peel off my kayak after sixteen hours of use. After transport, half of the tape was lost and torn. I had a free run on the last Fish and Game layak that outlasted the kayak by eight years.

  • Good price

Do not buy if you want to mount it on a canoe

Does not stick to the inside of the canoe. I degreased the canoe, first with alcohol and then with acetone, just to be sure. Waited a few minutes for it to evaporate, then tried to tape the inside of the canoe with tape. It didn't stick well, and if left alone, portions of the tape (ends and midsections) would simply peel off the surface of the canoe and fall off. Many times I tried to put it back on, I rubbed it a lot, no no luck. The tapes ended up in my trash can. Very frustrating. Cheap and

Inaccurate - do not purchase

Tape measure is a full 1/2 inch at 36 inches. You might think that the main requirement of a tape measure is its accuracy. You risk a fine from the game warden if you take advantage of this. The numbering is also somewhat blurred due to the photographic enlargement/reproduction. Otherwise everything is fine - well packed, normally glued. Oddly enough, the 40 inch silver strap (B07J52BQN9) made by the same company is exactly the same - buy the silver one!

Not for outdoor use

I taped this stick-on ruler to my kayak paddle so I had enough ruler length to measure large striped bass. Literally broke off and fell off in a day. And that was before the kayak touched the water. And this is a pedal kayak, and the paddle is rarely used. The blade is made of smooth composite material and is thoroughly cleaned before use. The ruler looks good and works well on a flat, dry surface that never gets wet. It's not sticky enough for a kayak.

  • Sewing tools
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

No accuracy when applying

So I bought 2 just in case I messed them up during application so I put on the first 100* a day and measured to make sure it was was accurate, well it was 1/2 inch longer when measuring. So today I applied 75* the same thing again, taking into account that I'm not pulling on it, just leaving it there, lowering it and checking to see if the arrow is off 1/4 inch. Even though everything looks nice and readable, I have to throw away the second book and run out of money. It doesn't come with best…

  • Tape measure and rulers

  • I don't remember
