Educational Insights EI 3078 Kanoodle Jr Review

My son is almost 4.5 years old and completed this toy in about 10 minutes. We started easy and climbed the stars to the hardest. He could solve difficult puzzles in less than 60 seconds. As far as I know he has never played with this toy or anything like that. It seems like a good toy for kids, but maybe they should be under 4 years old? Or my son is great, which of course he is, he is my son! I'll probably buy the non-jr edition, was hoping to find some quiet travel games and it won't work.

Includes 60 different buildable puzzle sheets with 6 colored pieces. Our 3 year old had fun solving all the puzzles, especially the last, more difficult ones. The game comes in a practical case. Instructions and puzzle book fit perfectly in the case. The game is great for traveling or dining out. The only comment is that folding each side of the puzzle sheet is a bit awkward. It would be easier if it were a spiral notebook that you could put in a sleeve. Also, the recommended age to play is 4-7

My 5 year old got a regular cannoodle and my 3 year old liked the idea but she was a bit harsh so we bought this and she loves it. The only "minus" of this game - a notebook with puzzles. Firstly it is a paper book held together with 2 staples and I'm very excited to see how long it will hold up. Also, you have to fold the book in half to access the puzzles. My 4 year old loves this puzzle. He was able to solve the first five puzzles fairly quickly, but now he solves more difficult puzzles. I love it because it keeps him busy for a while and I love that he exercises his critical thinking skills by playing with it! I'm deducting a star because I don't think the puzzle book will last very long. My 4 year old loves this game! She loves solving riddles so we already have a lot of riddles but I love that this is a critical thinking and problem solving game that has 60 riddles for her to solve over the years. It's such a bonus that she's having fun and learning as she plays!
