Description of ๐Ÿš— EGR Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pressure Feedback Sensor - DPFE15 Replacement - Compatible with Ford, Lincoln, Mercury Expedition, Escape, Focus, F-150

REPLACEMENT EGR PRESSURE FEEDBACK SENSOR - The EGR Valve recirculates a portion of the exhaust gas back to the engine cylinders which is monitored by the EGR Pressure Feedback Sensor. The EGR system also helps in fuel economy of the vehicle and as a side effect, reducing atmospheric pollution and hydrocarbon emissions. Having problems with your EGR Valve may also cause you to fail emissions inspection. Shit. I fried my PKM.

Unfortunately, Revain now has quite a few of these inexpensive DPFE sensors. This is the one I ordered to replace the PDFE15 on my expedition. It worked, but shortly afterwards messed up my PCM. I caution against these cheaper sensors because if the one you get is running at a different voltage you could be getting PCM codes and worst case scenario it could be defective enough to fry your PCM. This is an expensive game.

Pros
  • SUITABLE REPLACEMENT FOR FORD, LINCOLN AND MERCURY CARS - 1996 Bronco | 1994 - 2000 Crown Victoria | 1996 - 2002 E-150 Ecomoline | 2003 - 2008 Escape | 2000 - 2005 Excursion | 1997 - 2004 Expedition | 1996 - 2001 Explorers | 2001-2005 Explorer Sport Trac | 1996 - 2004 F-150 | 1999 - 2004 F-250 Super Duty, F-350 Super Duty | 2000 - 2008, 2010 - 2011 Focus | Rangers 1995-2011 | 1998 - 2004 Navigator | 1994 - 1996, 1998 - 2000 Grand Marquis | & more.
Cons
  • Not as thick as other sensors

At first it works as expected.

Perfect fit and eliminates OBD codes for low EGR flow. Looks good and I hope it lasts. The offer was for a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer with a 5.0-liter V8 engine. Great price and fast shipping too. thanks update It only lasted a week. I drove about 150 km and the check engine light came on again. I checked the output voltage and it was 5.00 volts even with the engine off. Bought a genuine Ford part and drove it over 800 miles with no problems.

Pros
  • EGR PRESSURE FEEDBACK SENSOR REPLACEMENT - The EGR valve recirculates a portion of the exhaust gases back to the engine cylinders, which is controlled by the EGR pressure feedback sensor. The EGR system also contributes to the vehicle's fuel economy and, as a side effect, reduces air pollution and hydrocarbon emissions. EGR valve problems can also cause you to fail your emissions test.
Cons
  • Blank

More Sensor Issues

I started with 1 DTC from an old part and after fitting I have 5 DTCs left. Some of them contradict each other, for example I have codes for 'low voltage' and 'high voltage' and codes for 'insufficient flow' and 'excessive flow'. I wanted to save money but I am going to buy an expensive part from a trusted auto parts store. My suggestion is to bite the bullet and buy an expensive part rather than looking for a cheaper alternative. You get what you pay for.

Pros
  • OEM FIT, QUALITY, FINISH - This replacement EGR Feedback Pressure Sensor is a direct replacement from AA Ignition and is not a genuine OEM part. The EGR pressure feedback sensor is located slightly next to the EGR valve and is usually accessible by removing the EGR cap on your Mustang, Windstar, Taurus, Thunderbird, E250, E-350.
Cons
  • Only available in black
