🌊 Efficient Surface Skimmer: Eheim 7738 Ensures Crystal Clear Aquarium Water Review

This thing isn't as fragile as people say, for beginners. The instructions suck and I couldn't find a video online to watch so it took me a few minutes to figure it out. Once I have it it seems to work fine. I will do an additional review in about a month. Addendum: This skimmer is a cat's ass! The best $80 I've ever spent. My water surface is crystal clear, no more limescale deposits. I will definitely put it in another aquarium.

This skimmer is inferior to the ISTA surface skimmer and costs almost 10 times as much. not easy to automatically adjust their position when the water level changes. One-way surface suction, narrow passages difficult to clean. Ehemi makes great filters. So I ignored what my eyes were telling me and bought it. huge waste of $.

I needed to remove this foam from the water surface of my aquarium and this product did the trick. I bought it to work with an EHEIM 2215 canister filter and it works great, but I had to get a 1/2" to 1/2" notched nylon tee from a local hardware store ($1.99) and buy a 12" 1/2 in. 2" pipe. (Check your hose size, some people with large canisters may need a 5/8" to 1/2" tee.) The tee reduces the suction power of the extractor so it doesn't gurgle or squeeze.
