I bought this mic for recording audio voiceovers for videos and it does a very good job. The sound quality is good but the plastic mount and tripod are missing. Another important note: it may not work as a plug-in microphone for your camera. There isn't enough gain for my Canon Vixia HF R700, but it works great with my laptop.
