Ekena Millwork CM12BR2 Bradford Medallion Review

I am very happy with this product. This adds a very nice touch to the light I bought and installed for my wife. Looks very clean. Well made and very light. I had to buy longer screws for my lighting kit to compensate for the thickness of the locket.

This product looked exactly like the pictures and was easy to cut to fit my ceiling fan. It's very light, so I ended up attaching it to the ceiling with detachable picture hanging rods for easy removal if we ever decide to remove the bracket.

I was really surprised by the quality of this item. Although it comes in 2 pieces for each installation, the pieces fit together snugly and require no glue! It is ideal for filling the gap when installing new ceiling fans in older homes and the bracket mount in new fans does not fit snugly into the ceiling. You can trim the medallion to fit the bracket on the fan, so you don't have to remove the fan for installation.

When I ordered I didn't realize I was going to cut this to fit a 6 inch hole. I had the impression that it would fit. I used a small saw to do a trick that required some sanding. At the end, leave a half-inch gap between the bracket and the center of the locket. I cut it like this because it was the easiest and cleanest way to trim it.
