When I bought it I thought that the others who left reviews were just incompetent in the installation. While I didn't damage my SSD in the process, as some have claimed, I struggled to install it on my 970 Evo Plus. The packaging is minimal, the instructions are minimal, and the device itself is minimal. ASRock Z390 Extreme 4 motherboard comes with a heatsink for the "bottom" MVMe drive. My mid-tower case has two 120mm fans in the front and one in the back, all running at around 900 RPM. The 500GB 970 EVO PLUS, which houses the OS, ran about 7-10C cooler than the top drive. WARNING - IF USE WITH PS5 (modification/upgrade): Make sure not to push the bottom plate too far forward or it will damage the pins of the m.2- could touch the slot. on the PS5 motherboard, creating a potential short circuit. I actually cut the dremel about 3mm off the bottom plate to prevent this from happening. It's a shame about the base plate, because otherwise it fits perfectly on the PS5... I wanted a Samsung drive because, in my experience, Samsung memory controllers are simply the bestβ¦
