Very disappointed with this elastic that I had planned to use for face masks. As many have said, it's really not soft and is actually quite stiff. I bought the white mandala cord in the past and was comparing the two and the mandala one was much better. I wish I had paid more more attention to the negative reviews before purchasing these!

I'm using this to make masks with straps that go around your head instead of around your ears and this works perfectly. Great stretching capabilities, without stretching out or snapping. And a great texture that is enough to keep the strap in place around my head and on my hair without slipping around, and soft enough that the strap that goes around my neck doesn't irritate my skin. Perfect for my needs, would recommend.

The black is poor quality and will break soon. It is scratchy and feels like there is glue on it. I do not recommend this product.White(?) The quality is better than the last item I ordered, but don't get this if you need white. It is more of a grey lavender color.

It worked great for masks until my iron touched it when I ironed a mask. The elastic just melted like cotton candy and broke apart. Funny thing is the black elastic didn't melt.

It stretches better than the ones I have used, the elastic band doesn't deform easily after a while because it is strong and durable.

I ordered this to make masks with and other sewing projects. This elastic is wonderful, and I like it better than the more tube-like stuff I accidentally ordered last time. This is stronger, and holds its shape better after being used/stretched.I love the spool and the length of elastic. I can keep the end tidy by taping it in place when I'm not using it, and when I'm ready to use it, I can cut it to the length I want, minimizing the waste. I have a friend who volunteers - making masks for teachers and others who need PPE for their work. She had complained that it was hard to find quality elastic for mask-making. She really liked this roll. There was lot on the roll, and it has just the right amount of "stretch" to be very effective. It is a really good quality for that use.

I sent this product to a friend and she was thrilled with the way it finished her project. I got an order for masks last week and found that I was out of elastic. Because my friend thought so highly of it I ordered the same thing again and I am not disappointed.

I liked the elastic and plan to use it for face masks. I am hoping this company sent one long coil as other venders sent many pieces that equal the measure but I had a lot of waste. Came on a full spool.

Like a lot of people, I've been sewing my own face masks for daily use during the covid-19 pandemic. This roll probably has enough elastic on it to make dozens of masks. It's wide enough to sew easily into place, but thin enough to still be comfortable around the ears. Highly recommend to anybody else who needs mask making materials.

I ordered this for face masks. I have made over 1000 so I know what materials work. The first thing I noticed was that the elastic isn't a true white color, but more of a dove grey. The next thing I noticed was that the "soft" elastic was very hard and difficult to stretch. This would definitely cause irritation around the ears and would not be comfortable to wear. We returned the item for a refund.

I have made over 250 masks the elastic was perfect and comfortable . Would by again. I have gone through 2 spools of this elastic so far.

This elastic would be great if it were white. It is discolored and is very noticeable next to my white material. It only comes in white & black and it is neither.
