This item is a 7 inch 1024x600 resolution Fake WaveShare Touch Display for the same price. Visit the WaveShare website and they will fix the fake issue. I found this out after purchasing the Elecrow and am now returning it. The Elecrow screen itself isn't much different or bad, but the problem lies with the touch sensor. There are no drivers for it. I've tried getting this touchscreen to work with a raspberry pi update, a config.txt change, and pretty much every other method. It only renders lines on the screen and could never get an image. The touchscreen works but is useless if you can't see anything. It worked for me once for a brief second that ended with a reboot. I wish the company had better documentation on how it works. Not compatible with rasberry, doesn't auto adjust but works on 50 inch screen and also the screen comes and goes, I'm very disappointed with this product, I needed 3 more if it really worked.

Very good resolution image quality. Easy to connect, I just plugged it into my laptop's ports (HDM + USB), Windows quickly installed the driver and was ready to use. I'll update my comment once I test Ubuntu. The haptics are also very good, multi-touch tested, drawing with four fingers at the same time. I have big fingers and sometimes it was difficult to press the small buttons, but I think that can be calibrated in the OS.

I bought this screen for my Raspberry Pi2 project. Thanks to the pins and HDMI port, this is a pretty solid setup. Some important points: 1) Can work as a normal HDMI display. As long as nobody gets confused. RV's comments were insufficient for me. I actually had to read and follow the instructions on the CD. I had to install the LCD drivers mentioned in one of the documents in the "Documents" folder on the CD to get the LCD working on the Pi, even though I just installed a fresh image. There will be cut/paste or just tapping to make it work.

This is a great little LCD screen. It's very easy to set up. Just plug it in and make a few simple changes to the config.txt file in your Raspberry Pi's /boot directory and you're done. Used it on a Cryptominer I created. Worked great. Used a couple of zip ties to install it and it was fine. Powered by USB. Electronics!

This display worked great on a Raspberry Pi that I bought in August 2017 and may have upgraded at some point. The installation instructions are confusing and minimal at best. The included CD looks weird (who has a CD drive on their RPi?). I had trouble getting the touchscreen to work because I had connected the screen through a powered USB hub. For some odd reason, the key is to plug it directly into a USB port on the Pi itself. I have used other lower resolution panels. They had too low a resolution. This works great on Windows 10. However, the touch system thinks it's the home screen when it isn't.

I'm actually writing this review on a Raspberry Pi 4 with a 7 inch Elecrow display. Even for my poor eyesight it's decent. The instruction card in the box gives clear starting instructions. but I had intermittent blackouts when using a 2A power supply. I tried a 3A power supply on my Minecraft RPI server and it fixed the problem. So you need a 3A power supply or better. May be specified in the ad to help future buyers. I like it although I have to see how big a battery I need.
