It's barely ok and has serious tearing issues!

Good things first: the screen works with the Pi 4 I tested on; touch screen works; and the sound works too. Really Bad: It has a bad case of screen tearing. This is with the latest clean install of the default Raspberry Pi OS. I've tried everything…

Worked and then didn't, but don't worry. This will work for you

First of all I have to say that this little monitor is perfect for keeping an eye on my PC. Unfortunately I bought a new case and somewhere when I switched to a new case it stopped working. Well my mobo said the USB overload cut the power to keep it from burning out. I'm paraphrasing of course. I have the exact same setup, nothing new except that the new tower has a USB-C front panel, not just 2 USB 23.0s, so that might have helped. I would recommend this screen as it gets the job done. I think something else is responsible for the malfunction. I honestly don't know at the moment. I don't want to return it as I threw away the packaging. That's a great price at $60 and I hope it works for you. Ps I haven't used the touch function so I don't know how it works.

Pros & cons

  • Used this for my PC to show live stats. Very clear screen and works well so far!
  • I will review this when I can provide appropriate feedback.

A year later still great

Use this to set up a mini screen in a PC case that shows temperature, GPU usage, etc. Works great. comes with several different connectors with different angles to facilitate assembly in different ways. The screen looks good and has lasted over a year with no issues. Plugged into a USB port for power and data and my Windows 10 recognized the screen right away. One problem is that the screen never turns off, even when sleeping the monitor stays on but the screen goes black. Not a big issue and could be something configurable on PC. USB ports usually always provide power, even when the computer is turned off.

Pros & cons

  • Worked great for what I needed it for
  • Limited Connectivity

Love it! Works with Kubuntu!

I don't use Aida64 Extreme. This is Kubuntu 21.10 only. Version 21.10 has new widgets and touchpads that can be used as widgets, which is not available in the LTS version. I use my 5" display as an internal touchpad. All I had to do was go to the manufacturer's website, download and install the Ubuntu drivers. (Install them before plugging in the display!) It definitely complements my case!I would buy from them again as I have 3 RPI 3b and 2 RPI 4b.

Pros & cons

  • Got this for the inside of my computer and it looks great.
  • There are downsides

Worked great the first time!

I just received the 5" ELECRO touchscreen and followed the setup instructions in the brochure. I bought a model where you can attach the RPi to the back of the screen. The instructions and photos were very clear and to the point. and USB connectors fit perfectly. Aside from adjusting the display size, everything worked great when I turned on the device. I'm using a Pi 4 and a 5 megapixel camera and I can now control the camera and touchscreen remotely (with access to a power source). The resolution is good and the size ideal for transport Good product, nicely designed, nicely presented.

Pros & cons

  • Portable multifunction monitor
  • High price for features

Not IPS, but when idle it lights up and shows "No Signal "

I bought this screen to use as a dedicated Aida64 touchpad screen, which seems standard for it, but after installing it I noticed two things. My setup consists of an HDMI cable that runs from my GPU in my case to the display, and a USB cable that connects to the USB header on my motherboard and connects to the display's power supply. First, it's clearly NOT an IPS screen. For me this is mostly not a problem as I plug it into my PC but definitely a hit as IPS is used as a marketing term here. For the record, I don't care if it's IPS or not, but if it's not (and it isn't), then don't list it anywhere. Second, and more importantly, it will show a "No Signal" screen when it has power but no signal from HDMI (e.g. in sleep mode or even possibly when the computer is off if the motherboard has USB power forwards). Since I leave my USB ports on while the computer is in sleep mode, it's pretty annoying. I will not forcibly disable USB ports while I sleep, nor should I. I would like the screen…

Great product after figuring out how to program it.

I bought this for an iOT project I'm working on with a Raspberry PI 4. I had to rotate the screen 270 degrees (which I did) but couldn't figure out how to get the touchscreen to swap the x/y axis. The calibration tool didn't work for this. I googled but all the advice was wrong. I emailed Elecrow but they didn't help - they just referred me to a blog that didn't solve the problem. I was finally able to figure it out myself and get it working. I am satisfied with the performance and quality. I like that it has sound. The only thing I would change (apart from more detailed instructions) is that the HDMI adapter fits into the PI4's second HDMI port.

Pros & cons

  • Suitable for DIY projects and mini TVs
  • Limited energy efficiency

Great (if not quite perfect) Pi 3 or 4 screen

This is a great solution for adding an LCD to your Raspberry Pi project. The included brackets and smart U adapters meant I could mount the Pi right on the back of the screen and connect HDMI and touch without the bulky cables sticking out everywhere! This will power my 3D printer's OctoPi, but I could definitely find another use for this design since the kit is so unobtrusive overall. I deducted 1 star because of the screen quality. Let's just say I'm not sure if it's actually an IPS panel. Viewing angles are lacking and the screen has that "grainy" or "blotchy" look sometimes seen on lower quality LCDs - luckily only noticeable up close or against very bright/white backgrounds . Overall I wouldn't do that. I really don't want this to be used in a situation where display quality was an important factor, like gaming, watching videos etc., but for an IoT display that is more about functionality than display quality, it does its job. The included fan is very quiet and was a nice…

Great screen, nicely designed for the RPi with a few minor bugs

That 5 inch screen is great, with a brightness and volume control button. You only use the power cord to make it work. It's a bit more expensive than the other 5-inch screens (but the price difference is significant). I've tested it on both Pi 3B+ and Pi 4, it seems that the micro HDMI to HDMI adapter is not quite the right size, but it can still be connected. One bug I encountered was that when I connect the Pi4 to the screen, the Pi 4's Wi-Fi is unstable. My Pi 4 Wi-Fi can sometimes disconnect from my router (I prefer to work with it via vnc/ssh on my laptop, a Wi-Fi outage causes the vnc/ssh connection to fail). And I try to connect to wifi manually but sometimes it doesn't work. Not sure if the screen is interfering with the wireless signal, hopefully someone also using a Pi 4 can provide feedback.

Pros & cons

  • Plug and play with my rpi 4 speaker, it also worked right out of the box. Used for retro cakes.
  • Almost everything is fine

Small screen form factor but with big features that make it big

When I was looking for a display for a raspberry pie project I turned to Elecrow because they have many displays for this purpose. The display I bought has the model number RC050S. I love it because it has good material and does great what I should do.

Pros & cons

  • monitors
  • Something else

Does everything that is in the description

Good product. I haven't tried the touchscreen, but the picture quality and brightness are excellent for a small screen like this. I've had it for a day now and it's perfect for my latest project of making a retro slot machine photo frame for my desk.

Pros & cons

  • 5 inches
  • Bad speakers

Surprisingly, it came with a small crack. (EDIT. READ REVIEW.)

Works but came with a crack. It's so small that I really don't want to replace and maintain it. I wish they would have sent me another one but everything is fine! EDIT: Returning item. They send another one but watch the video to see why I'm returning. I didn't mind a little cracking, but that noise? I don't know what's causing it, but yes. do we pray that the second comes without cracks or strange screams? (PS I'm 100% sure it's monitor noise. If I unplug the USB, the noise is gone. Plug it back in, the noise is back.)

Pros & cons

  • computers and accessories
  • Motion Blur: If the resolution is set too low, the display may appear blurry or pixelated.

Great as a PC touchpad!

This is a great screen to use as a PC touchpad. Gorgeous color, exceptional viewing angle, and the input ports are recessed to hide wiring. I used an HDMI ribbon cable and a 90° USB to USB cable to connect everything. After installation I used AIDA64 to create my own touchpad. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to undertake a similar project.

Pros & cons

  • Portable multifunction monitor
  • Bad brightness

Great screen - my new review

The picture is excellent and the text on the screen is very sharp for the small size. The touchscreen is functional, but a screen pen or mouse is ideal.

Pros & cons

  • 800x480 pixels
  • Almost everything is fine

It's simple and comes with perfectly designed Rpi3 and 4 adapters

Great until I broke it by tripping over a cable. But I only buy two 7 inch models because I was so pleased with the ease of use.

Pros & cons

  • Awakens trust
  • So-so

Pros & cons

  • 1 x 4.77 x 3.75 inches
  • Tight color palette

Decent touchscreen. Strange screen border design. Crack when restarting the computer.

The touchscreen and image quality are as expected. The strange design of the frames and the crash when the computer is restarted during updates are a bit creepy and annoying.

Pros & cons

  • RC050S
  • Poor image quality and resolution.

Excellent screen in my review

The picture is excellent and the text on the screen is very sharp for the small size. The touchscreen is functional, but a screen pen or mouse is ideal.

Pros & cons

  • Capacitive USB touch screen
  • No instructions

Promises so much in my head

Lots of features and connectivity, but the one I had kept shorting out my raspberry pi. When it worked, it worked fine, then it shorted out and unplugged everything for a second, then it started up again. In addition, the mounting screws for attaching to the Pi are not screwed well and break easily. Looking at other reviews maybe I'm just unlucky but I'll get something else

Pros & cons

  • ELECTRIC CROW
  • Upgradable

Perspective!: my rating

Great screen! also works well for pc modding! Don't forget the perspective. It's a great screen BUT you need a good angle on the screen to see it well.

Pros & cons

  • Good price
  • Dubious purchase for older people
