I used this for an application where the factory car stereo had a mini USB jack and the aftermarket stereo had a USB jack. This created a connection that I couldn't find an aftermarket stereo wiring solution for.

Very easy to use USB Micro USB. Used on my radio to retain the factory USB connection for my aftermarket headset. Works very well, had no problems with it. And it was cheaper than buying a "radio to USB adapter".

This allowed me to leave the USB sync port in the console and plug it directly into my Pioneer radio. Now the same sync port for Android Auto or Carplay can be used with the new radio. No cutting or splicing required.

The benefit of having two of these at this price point is fantastic. I bought them for a software update on 40 card readers that had a mini USB port, but my laptop only had a full size USB port. They worked great and I gave them a good workout by unplugging and plugging them back in over 80 times. Excellent product, very strong and durable.

Didn't want to pay a crazy price for an adapter cable. After the radio was removed I saw that it was a simple mini USB adapter. No splices or modifications to the CarPlay cable for a non-original stereo. Plugged in the adapter. Plugged in the standard USB cable and it worked. The easiest part of the installation!

I know it's odd that I'm reviewing a mini adapter but I've come across a lot of electronics and such, in many cases cheaply made and the male connector usually breaks on the road, even without human negligence. I decided to give a review on them because they fit great, they fit snugly and snugly in the socket, also doesn't seem like a big deal. , but you will appreciate a well-made adapter in the future. So I replaced the original head unit in my GMC 2011 Sierra. For him there was a USB plug with a micro-USB connector. The new Android head unit I bought had a standard USB port. This adapter allowed me to keep the standard USB port in my console and plug it into my new Android head unit. It's not fast charging or anything, but it works and I'm happy with it. I also don't think this problem has anything to do with this adapter.

Received it much earlier than expected as it was out of stock at the time of ordering and wasn't supposed to arrive in at least two months. I used this to save the USB AUX port in my 2021 Nissan Frontier and it worked great, plug and play. It plugged directly into the standard cable and then into the USB port/cable on the stereo I installed. Significant time savings and excellent value for money. I also have a backup in case an additional audio device is needed. Highly recommended.
