This heater started smoking a few seconds after I plugged it in and turned it on. The first thing I noticed was the horrible smell (which some heaters have when new). Then I plugged it in and turned it on. It's very quiet and doesn't push air out like many heaters so it was hard to tell if it was working at all and when I inspected it I noticed puffs of smoke coming from it. This has never happened to me with a parking heater.

I have ordered 2 of these heaters and so far both are working very well. The only problem I had was changing the heater and timer settings with the remote. The display is on top of the device. So if I want to know which setting is enabled I have to go to the device, rendering the remote unusable for those items. It would be better to put the display on the front.
