Tight but needs improvement

This board was almost great, but it was missing some key elements needed for an Arduino proto-shield. Center 5V and ground rails are good, as are the numerous connected pads scattered around the board, but the SDA and SCL pins are treated like all other pins instead of rails like 5V and ground to them so you need one more board Connect multiple I2C add-ons. The board also lacks a screw hole next to the USB pad, leaving a good half of the board loose if you need a tight fit. Even though some…

Pros
  • 2 power rail holes for quick and easy prototyping
Cons
  • New Competitors

Plugs/sockets are not very good

Circuit board and most parts are fine, but plugs/sockets have pins that are too thin/small and only make intermittent contact with the socket connectors are on the Arduino board, so they're basically useless. I have to take them off and use the plugs/plugs because the pins are bigger, but that prevents putting another shield on the breadboard.

Pros
  • Useful for your own DIY electronics projects
Cons
  • Waiting too long

Great product for computer components

I have been using the ElectroCookie board for a long time and am very happy with it. This is no exception and has a great layout for Arduino Mega boards.

Pros
  • High quality and gold plated to prevent oxidation and all holes are plated through for mounting strength
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Thin connectors can cause connectivity problems

I had a similar problem as another reviewer. Because the forks are thin under the screen, some of the pins didn't make good contact. This resulted in some "weird" behavior that took me a while to debug. The rest of the shield board is good.

Pros
  • 15% larger than other pro boards for additional components
Cons
  • Mostly ok, but...

Great product in the Computers & Accessories section

I've been using an ElectroCookie board for a long time and I'm very happy with them. This is no exception and has a great layout for Arduino Mega boards.

Pros
  • High quality gold finish to prevent oxidation and clear coating on all holes for a secure fit
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Thin plugs can cause connection problems

I had the same problem as another reviewer. Because the forks are thin under the screen, some of the pins didn't make good contact. This resulted in some "weird" behavior that took me a while to debug. The rest of the shield board is good.

Pros
  • 2 power rail slotted rails for quick and easy prototyping
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Close but needs work

This board was almost great but was missing some key elements needed for an Arduino proto shield. 5V and ground rails in the middle are good, as are the numerous connected pads scattered around the board, but the SDA and SCL pins are treated like all other pins instead of rails like 5V and ground to them so you need yet another board Connect multiple I2C add-ons. The board also lacks a screw hole next to the USB pad, leaving a good half of the board loose if you need a tight fit. Even though…
