Possibly broken

I was hoping it would be warm, especially as the night frost had recently descended to puberty. Not sure if I have a fault but I don't even feel heat at 7. I've tried a few different troubleshooting methods, e.g. then decrease closer to 2 after the engine has stopped. It barely feels warm even after an hour of high power. I've also tried using every 12v socket in the car to no avail. It turned out that it is more effective to heat a flower pot on a fire for 3 minutes and put it under a blanket.

Pros
  • Great variety

  • Long time

Electric blankets/pillows are a risk

After spending a lot of time attaching this thing to my mattress and putting it back in my rooftop tent I was disappointed to find that the My tent manufacturer installed a 12v socket in my tent with no fixators. In other words, anything you put in an outlet can come out pretty easily. The instructions for this pad clearly state that you have a good connection. I pressed the connector as hard as I could and glued it on to test. The pillow does seem to get warm, but most of the time it was only…

Generates heat efficiently. Technical Review

The bunk warmer appears to be made with good stitching and quality material. I'm using a 12 volt floor heater for a late fall campground in the Midwest. I put it on a heavy-duty mega mat and a sleeping bag on a floor heater. The highest level of 7 warmed me up quickly (<15 minutes), I had to turn it down. 3 seems reasonable to me. <Starting technical garbage> I am using this with a 650Wh 12V SLA solar battery. I studied the power consumption at each setting to get an idea of how long…

I love it! Warmed me up and fried!

This heating pad was like a world to me when camping with the A-frame. I mean I just love it! I attached it to the mattress as per the instructions and it even comes with pins. So it doesn't wrinkle in any way, which they warn about (I think the heating element going through the pad doesn't twist and overlap part of itself causing too much heat in one spot). Personally, I've connected it directly to the 12v lithium battery in my trailer, but sometimes I use 120-12v power supplies (if I have…

Is this heated mattress topper safe?

I returned this mattress pad for the following reasons: 1. The cigarette lighter socket became VERY HOT. When the duvet arrived I tucked the duvet in to test the pillow. It got hot... but so did the cigarette lighter socket. The fork was very hot - too hot to touch. I have a lot of wiring in my car (fan, lights, fridge/freezer, water pump, solar panel and controller, inverter, etc.) and not a single connector in my system is getting hot. Something is wrong here? I think so. One reviewer…
