Description of Elegant Aliform Monarch Moving Butterfly

A lifelike robotic butterfly that moves its wings!. These moving butterfly figurines come with a thin 6 foot power cord and use so little power they can be run continuously for pennies per week with out getting hot or becoming a fire hazard. While operating they make no noise whatsoever and provide an allurement that keeps people fascinated and guessing whether they are real or not.

Oh my God! So realistic!

RAVE! It's very fragile, and if the wings don't move (the instructions will tell you why and what to do!), just follow the instructions carefully. This is a very sweet thing! This is a great office gift for a colleague with plants.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Not the best

Too realistic, best in Flying Toys

I had one of these on my favorite room lamp for 10 years. a glass case where you can see butterflies. Now everyone who sees her always screams, hey, she's alive, let her out.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Not as described

I have just received the item and it is not as described. The description doesn't even include the reviewers' comments. There is only one power supply, no power supply. There is no USB socket, so no "randomly simulated control" via USB. There is only a steady "slow clap" on this item - UPC number 688040100098. Very disappointed.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Strangely beautiful.

This is a really cool/nice gadget. When noticed, it causes all kinds of reactions. To be honest, a lot of people think this is real. My only criticism is that they are expensive for what goes into making them. It consists of a simple "wall wart" (power supply), a piece of thin wire, a plastic case with hinges, and printed plastic wings. The movement occurs through a small "muscle wire" in length. This system produces a gentle and periodic contraction of the wings, much like a butterfly…

  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Nothing Here

Was not connected to AC as described

Contrary to the description, no AC transformer for mains power is included. Instead, it's specifically designed to only work through the computer's USB port. Looking for an alternative to solve this frustration, I tried the AC Cell Phone Wall Charger with its USB port. It didn't power this butterfly. It must be the USB port of the computer. So it only works well if your computer is running, if that's what you want it to be. I prefer the AC powered version mounted on a houseplant by the windows.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • No power

Attractive and realistic, but greedy for power

From a distance it could easily be mistaken for a real monarch butterfly. It's completely silent and the movements are uneven enough not to seem robotic. As you can probably tell from the Revain image, this won't fool anyone who looks closely, but the layperson might not notice the difference from 5ft or more away. it to a lamp or a hanging cord etc. We attached it to a thin baluster on the landing above. This is a powerful USB device. I'm not sure how much current it draws, but I recommend…

Fairly realistic animatronic butterfly (requires computer)

Okay, that's pretty nice. This is a great gift for those who keep flowers next to their computer at work and anywhere else the computer can be used throughout the day. As noted by some reviewers, it came with a USB port. It's not just a power outlet. If your computer is operational (should be initially connected to the internet I believe) the driver will be downloaded and installed automatically when you connect this device. In fact, there is software that controls a butterfly's wings and…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as the other options
