This is a pretty addition to my countertop and serves its purpose just as described. I am using it for coarse salt while cooking and it's easy to pinch up some with your fingers or put the spoon in to measure out some. The lid fits well but does not suction closed. Love it

Love this salt cellar. Only complaint is the marble top and wood cellar could mate easier. Sometimes the top is difficult to pry off and you need excessive force causing the salt to spill. Other than that, it is beautiful and made from great materials.

I was a little worried that this container would let in moisture, allowing the salt to clump over time. But I've been using this for quite a while now, and it does the job perfectly. It's also attractive on the countertop and has gotten compliments. I consider this a very worthwhile kitchen purchase.

I bought this a couple years ago & just came across the item again shopping for a new one. It arrived with an unpleasant odor which really lingered & the lid never fit properly. I could try to push it on but the lid was slightly too big & it took quite a bit of effort. I guess others had better luck, but I’m looking to replace this one.

I like this a lot. I also got the salt and pepper mills and use this one for finishing salt - but it could be used for regular salt, spices, seeds or whatever you want. It is very attractive, a good size and a well made product.

I love this. I've been looking for a salt cellar that I like for a while. I was tired of keeping a small tupperware on the counter for cooking it just looked so ugly. Definitely not something to put in the dishwasher or soak in water but if I treat it well I'm sure it will last a long time. The wood is beautiful and the size is decent! Too many I looked at before were tiny. This is perfect. The lid is heavy and solid.

The lid I received had dents in it.The inside of the bowl itself is smaller than I expected, because the marble is so thick.That said, I’ve opted for a replacement rather than an exchange. If the replacement is undamaged, it will be worth keeping.

The photo is deceiving, the lid doesn’t rotate as expected. It’s still very cute, good quality, and functional. I’m glad I bought it.

Just what I was looking for. I mixed my pepper and salt together, so convenient when cooking to just take the lid off and sprinkle onto food. The bamboo bowl is very nice, the marble top isn’t as heavy as I thought it would be but still has enough weight to keep the salt and pepper protected. I like it just the way it is. Gave one to each of my sons and they love them as well.

I bought it to use as a shaving soap bowl, and it works great. I leave it on my bathroom countertop next to my razor and brush. It's hard to find a good shave bowl with a lid. I like a lid because I leave shaving soap inside the bowl, ready to lather each morning. If it was 1/2 inch larger in diameter and depth it wouldn"t be good, it would be a perfect shaving bowl. If it had cut grooves on the inside to promote lather, it would be better than perfect. I use the spoon to transfer shaving cream

This salt box was wonderful. Not asking for more than something that I can put my grinder salt in and this did the job and looked very classy. I really liked the marble looking cover as it looks very high end compared to others. Would definitely recommend and give to others as a gift.

This is a cute item that I got as a gift for someone who had wanted a salt pinch. He did not like the open ones, so I got this one with the lid. It is simple and elegant. Most importantly. the lid fits securely and it works. Great buy!
