I was happy that it didn’t arrive damaged. I think it was an average job in preparing the box for shipment. That aside, I love it! It looks really nice in my kitchen.My first impression was that the wooden lid was pretty dull looking but as soon as I rubbed mineral oil into the wood grains it really brought out it’s natural beauty.I would buy this again or as a gift for any cook.Bonus that I wasn’t expecting…it came with a really cute gold spoon that can rest right on top of the lid.

While I did return this, it is almost perfect. I loved the size and weight of the salt box. The reason I returned it is because the white marble shade of the bottom did not match the marble shade of the lid. If it was close, I would have kept it. I just felt they were too different with the top being quite a bit darker than the bottom. You might get lucky and get a matching set, or possibly buying it with the wood lid would work. Bought two wooden bowls with granite lid. The white is lighter in weight than the dark. Dark lid is a greenish dark grey, it didn’t quite much the kitchen granite as expected. One of the wooden bowls was nice and soft. The other one had a rough side I would like to sand down.Each bowl came with a wooden spoon.Once received, I washed everything with detergent and dried it out. A layer of oil helped cure the wood up. I’m using one of the bowls ("cellar”) to keep my coffee beans.

I keep a salt cellar, filled with Kosher salt, close to the stove and I've always kept a smaller Tupperware or Rubbermaid container next to it with freshly ground Pepper. We remodeled the kitchen and it was time to up my game on the counter. I use the white marble lidded bowl for the salt and the black marble lidded bowl for the pepper. Much classier presentation. They're both functional and beautiful.

I bought two of these: a black pot and a white pot. The black one is perfect. It has a great thickness and weight to it. However, the white one arrived broken/cracked twice before I finally got one that I can keep. Beware of the white pot if it comes with cracks, it will start to crumble and mix in with anything you put in the pot. Best Buy and the seller were quick to help resolve this issue but it was a bit frustrating.

This salt box is a great addition to my kitchen and fits in nice with other acacia wood products.The wood does seem to be a bit dry (like when you've washed a cutting board). I'll use some mineral oil on it and am sure it will look amazing after wards.just needs some moisturizer. Otherwise, it's a very smooth and professional finish with no sharp edges. It's a great piece but the wood is very dry and therefore isn't as rich looking as wood can be. I'll oil it myself and bring it back to it's original beauty.

A Beautiful Purchase! Great quality and size. It currently holds large Himalayan salt granules and comes with a petite wooden spoon. The marble lid adds to the beauty of this solid wood salt cellar. I'd definitely purchase again.

Love this as a salt pig. Sometimes the lid gets stuck as the fit is too tight but otherwise this is a great addition to our kitchen.

Absolutely beautiful spice jar. The black marble is really heavy, smooth and well made. Seller was very quick to answer all the questions I had. Love that I can do the "Salt Bae" while cooking like a professional chef lol. Love it so much.

This salt cellar is gorgeous and the perfect addition to the kitchen countertop, it should be noted that the lid was slightly off in size but nothing noticeable other than when attempting to place the lid on, and you are faced with a little push back.

I purchased 2 of these hoping that interchanging the lids would work for one. Neither worked. I contacted the seller and found that they were aware of the problem- swelling of the wood with the changes in humidity. They were more than accommodating and sent me out 2 new ones once the alterations on the design were completed. I have both the black and the white lid and couldn't be happier. I love my pinch pot. So convenient. Keep it at my stove with my salt pots. Grab a pinch or a teaspoon measurement.Very sturdy, easy to clean and keeps spices fresh. I would buy again as gifts.

I like the base on this, but the lid is much heavier/awkward than I'd expected. The size is right and it's a quality product, but if I had to do it again I'd pick something with a wood lid that stays attached. I find it a little inconvenient to remove the lid to grab a pinch of salt while I'm cooking. I've also dropped the lid a few times, which scares me that it will break something or damage the counter. Not a bad product, but it doesn't exactly fit with my style of cooking.

I love this little salt box.I wanted one that had a detached lid, not one that swiveled. I love the heaviness of the marble and the way it looks. It was pricey and almost didn’t buy because of that. But I did. Love it.
