Received it today. I made carrots, apples, tangerines, raspberries. So far the fruit is still completely wet after 9 hours. I don't think they are worth keeping. i will return it Update: Check out my video in 16 hours. Carrots have shrunk but remain moist. The pears turned brown, still moist. Raspberries and tangerines are never dehydrated.

I love dried snacks, but they have become too expensive. So I decided to make my own. This juicer is really good. It has 3 temperature displays so you can control how long you want to keep your snack or ingredient warm. I check my food when it becomes dehydrated. I don't want pinch in my food, just crack. I am very happy with my results.

price is excellent quality is very poor i set the desired temperature to 135 but i was able to find a maximum of 111 with a very reliable heat detector which took 6- 8 hours 15, and that was after carefully following the instructions but that was my mistake as I read several times not to buy a machine that heats up from the bottom. I'll put that back and look again. I expect Revain to block this review.

This works quite well but I would advise people to wash it thoroughly before use and let it run empty for a few hours. I put a few apples in after a quick swish and noticed a strange smell seeping into the food for the first few hours. Appears to be naturally oily. Wash again and try another download and update the rating later. Edit: no, the smell is still there and still permeates the food. Downgraded to one star. run away

I was a bit nervous when I bought it. I saw some bad reviews and some products. So. I was a bit confused but my sister has one and it seems to work fine. So I decided to buy it and I'm so happy I did. It's really easy to use, just control the temperature. Elite Gourmet Food Dehydrator works great! It doesn't take up much counter space and provides quick drainage. I really liked how the trays "nested" inside each other for a secure stack. I like the temperature controller, the fan to circulate air through the product. The device is easy to clean and store! It's good that the thing /works/, but not too well. Last growing season I loaned my expensive large dehydrator to my mom and decided to buy this small one for some fruit/herbs until I get mine back. Therefore, before purchasing this device, I had experience with other food grade dehydrators. When I bought it I knew it wouldn't be/as/good as another dehydrator, but I figured it would do the job.
