Best kite reel ever! Bought this for a giant 35ft octopus kite and it was so easy to use. Even my little kids could use it, no problem. It is easy to hold and roll the kite rope.

The plastic feels like it will crack when dropped. I'm afraid it will break under the force of my 75ft octopus kite. I have other rings and they are much stronger. This plastic is not durable to the touch

The Emma Kites line reel seems like a decent reel that should last, but having just received it and used it once only time will tell how durable it really is. I was very impressed with how it was packaged when I opened it. It was in a heavily sealed plastic bag. Inside the bag was a pouch-like nylon pouch with a coil wrapped twice in bubble wrap. So it could very well have been a five star purchase. ask me in a year

As a radio amateur, I use them to wrap radial wires for vertical antennas. Their overall length can often reach hundreds of meters, so some of these reels avoid tangling and they reel/reel very quickly. They also have a nice big turning radius so the wires don't kink. Once the wires are wrapped around these spools, they can be transported in tool boxes, bags, milk crates, etc. without the risk of them being pinched or broken. These reels are great tools for the job!
