The steering is solid again

This has reduced some of the steering play/chatter on my 2002 Tacoma. The bushings I pulled out after 265,000 miles looked like horribly chewed pieces of rubber. There was no lube included, so I took Poly's recommended lube and used it liberally. Still a slight squeak from the first bump ride, but it seems to have spread and it's quiet again. It remains only to weld the steering column with staples.

Pros
  • Very good value

Perfect for 3rd generation 4Runner

Perfect for 97 4Runner. The original rubber bushings were shot and the rail had decent play. After installing these polymer bushings, the steering rack became stronger and the steering tighter. There are some very helpful installation videos online and the key for me was to cut a shoulder off the hub and then use an inexpensive C clamp and socket to pry the originals out. Should have done that many years ago.

  • Sleek design

Vibration on the steering wheel is fixed!

This product was used on a 2000 Toyota 4Runner Limited steering box. It was a great upgrade over the stock sockets. Good instructions, perfect fit and best of all it eliminated the steering wheel vibration I was having at 55-60mph! Only complaint is that the very small blister of fat is not enough to fully cover all the sockets, had to buy 8oz. having the same lubricant is enough.

Only lasted 1 year with seals

I bought these with the intention of replacing mine I bought these with the intention of replacing the factory bushings. Replacing the old ones with the new ones was a little tricky, but it eliminated the steering wheel shake. I bought them in April 2019. As of April 2020 they only lasted me a year and the wheel shaking is back. Note that I used 225/70/16 tires on my 4x4 4runner. So I haven't seen off-road yet. And yes, I made sure the wheels were balanced. I'm trying, I'm trying 40+ racks and…

Difficult install: bearings and seals

My bushings were removed from my 03 Tacoma so I bought them thinking it would be an easy upgrade. While this is usually easy to replace, one of the weld nuts (lower passenger bolt/nut) is broken. This nut was in the cross member, and the bolt rotated freely in the hole. I ended up having to cut a hole under the bolt to mount a new nut. While this has nothing to do with the product itself, be careful when unscrewing the steering rack. Breaking welds on either weld nut or weld stud will greatly…

Great bushing kit

Installed on a '99 4R Highlander, MT SR5. Installation went smoothly with no fitting issues or missing parts. Watch Timmy's video first. After alignment, the car behaves much better on a straight line, on turns and on bumps in the road. It feels much smoother and rattles less. I have nothing negative about this product, only positive results and consistently flawless performance after five months of use. You MUST use more super sticky bushing grease than they supply. If you don't have a…

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Expensive

These bushings were easy to install on the left and right side, the bushing in the middle kept popping out. It wasn't easy to get the middle jack to stop and I had to press it many times. What I did to remove the old rubber grommets in the middle and left of the post was cut the rubber off one end and pound it out with a large** socket and a hammer. The D-clamp socket was easy to install and remove with no need for explanation. After installation, my bump was gone when driving on rough…
