Engie provides a unique retention and data solution for dealerships to connect with their customers based on real-time connected car data. Our easy to use system allows dealers to get remote access to the car's state, increase retention and communicate with customers on a daily basis. They can also send automated alerts on unusual car behavior track mileage and provide a better customer experience.

Type of review

We started using Engie in June 2018. Initially, we used them to automate service reminders and other actions (i.e., schedule a technician visit). Since then, we've used them to manage warranty extensions and collect vehicle performance information to help us prioritize repairs and schedule maintenance services. Engie has been responsive and helpful when we had questions about how to best use the tools they offer. Their techs have been especially helpful, answering any question we've had…

Pros
  • The platform makes it easier to access key metrics that you can use to make better decisions.
  • Engie's tech support team is very knowledgeable and responds quickly to any question or problem you may have.
  • You don't need to be a programmer to use it.
Cons
  • Sometimes the flow gets complicated because you have to click through several steps to create an action.
  • For example, when we want to export our work order to another system, I wish there was a direct link between those two systems so we didn't have to go through two steps to export.

Engie has a pretty great product here! It's intuitive, it's useful, and it's definitely getting a lot of attention. There's still plenty of room for improvement, though, particularly in terms of the UI. For example, there's no obvious way to import customers into Engie; when you go to add a new user, you're asked to enter email addresses manually. There's also no automatic way to find new customers, so if you want to get more people signing up, you'll have to do it yourself. And finally…

The software is a complete disaster! It's a nightmare to set up and to use.

This software is a complete disaster! It's a nightmare to set up and to use. When we tried to install it we were presented with an error message saying that "The installer could not be started because it was unable to read from the file." No other information given. We went back to the original website and looked around a bit more, and sure enough, the software was listed as being compatible with Windows XP and Vista (but not Windows 7). So we tried installing it on our computer running Windows

  • Can handle very large amounts of data without crashing
  • Has a good support staff
Cons
  • Needs.NET Framework 0 or higher, which many people don't have installed on their computers.
  • Slow speed of operation
  • Data handling options are limited compared to other programs
