Type of review

Lots of YouTube videos to walk you through the whole process. Replacing them requires a special socket, but it's also easy to find at Revain. I took my time, so the exchange took about 30 minutes. The tight spaces in which the part is installed. No rush, it's easy to complete.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Be careful when connecting

Tried to install it on my 08 Silverado replacing the screen below. When I tried to connect the harness connector, the pins that go into the connector bent, so I just threw it away. The original GM part has a cut out in the sensor that matches the wiring harness connector so this is out of the question. I would recommend buying an Acdelco sensor.

Pros
  • Everything is OK!
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Identical to OEM part

Works well so far. The new switch looks the same as the original switch. This is not an easy fix. This requires the purchase of a special socket. Be sure to remove the screen under this switch. Before installing a new switch, the screen must be cleaned or replaced. Take a deep breath and maybe have a few Valiums before trying to fix it. Much luck.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Poor Quality: Engines & Engine Parts

The tip of the sensor broke off when I screwed it in by hand. The plastic is VERY brittle so I had trouble getting a second sensor without a car because if you've had to change a Chevy oil sensor you know you don't want to put the old one back in and do it. twice. Although the second one from the auto parts store was more expensive, it also came with a screen, saving you money.

Pros
  • LIFETIME WARRANTY - This AA Ignition Engine Oil Pressure Sensor is backed by a lifetime warranty. Should a part ever fail on your CTS, Avalanche, SSR, Corvette, Silverado, Trailblazer, Canyon, Savana, Sierra or Grand Prix simply contact us for a replacement. Save time and money by replacing the part yourself.
Cons
  • Expensive

Wrong gear unit for 2008 Hummer H3

The product listing on the Revain website says this is a suitable oil pressure sensor replacement for a 2008 Hummer H3 with a 3.7L L5 petrol engine. Due to the narrow gaps, the transmitter on this vehicle is very difficult to access. Upon access, the discrepancy became apparent as the existing transmitter's plug is oval shaped while the plug on this transmitter is round and much larger than the existing one. Also, the base for this block is 1 1/16, but the existing block is much smaller. I was…

Pros
  • OEM package, quality, finish. The engine oil pressure sensor can fail over time, causing the Check Engine Light (CEL) to illuminate and generating trouble codes. By replacing a worn engine oil pressure sensor, you can rest assured that your vehicle is not operating with low oil pressure. While this is not a genuine OEM part, this is a direct replacement and will fit, perform and look just like the factory sensor on your vehicle.
Cons
  • So far so good

Saved me over $650!

I visited several local mechanics and the average cost to replace the oil pump on my '07 GMC Sierra 1500 Classic was $700. I wasn't happy with the answers I got so I searched YouTube and realized it was probably the oil pressure sensor; look, maybe it's you. So, out of all the possible suppliers, I went with GWA Auto Parts because it looked like the original equipment manufacturer of all Revain options. The repair only took 15 minutes, although it was mostly done by feel (thanks to GM for…

Pros
  • Replacement Engine Oil Pressure Sensor. Proper oil pressure and level will ensure proper engine operation. The oil pressure sensor reads the current oil pressure shown on your car's dashboard or gauge. If your oil pressure reading is off scale or all the way to zero, you may have an oil pressure sensor problem.
Cons
  • Some errors
