The filter came without a gasket. It almost broke my car's engine. I lost over $41.00 in motor oil. I can only buy the oil I use online. It really put me in a terrible position.

Never had a problem with this filter. I like using K&N products, they are good and reliable. This is the fourth time I've shopped from Revain and from this seller and it's happened. I didn't check when it arrived as the box and everything was intact. I took out the oil and filter and when I was about to put a new one in, I noticed this. I'm disappointed.

Has anyone else come without labels or stickers on the can? There is a stamp at the end but nothing else identifying the filter (nor is anything in the box). It seems like a very easy way to sell non-K&N filters at the premium price they deserve. I hope this is a mass production oversight, but really makes you wonder what's going on.

Do not buy this filter. It was delivered to me unsealed and I installed it in my 2017 VW Tiguan. Oil spattered all over the car and garage floor, spilled on my driveway, what a mess. I had to buy a whole new filter and more oil, had to leave work to clean up. It probably cost me over $250 in cleaning, consumables, and lost productivity! The photo shows the absence of a gasket on the filter!

So the filter is stuck but it won't come loose. They knew it was scattered and still sealed and shipped for 17.99. I'd like one that didn't go over so well. The shipping envelope was fine, so it came from K&N and looked like this. Come on guys, buddy! I'll be sending it back for a replacement and maybe next time I'll get a decent looking box to scatter around and tape shut. terrible choice to post it as it was.

Filter just received and looks like a genuine part, mine had a K&N sticker unlike the other reviewers, please refer . A photo. I used to always use German made Mann filters on my VW 2.0T tsi engine but they were out of stock so this time I'm trying a K&N filter for about the same price. K&N is a well known aftermarket brand and the oil filter is stamped "Product USA" so it must be of high quality.
