So the exhaust was very easy to install. However as mentioned above it does not come with an exhaust gasket. It should. So had to create a gasket on a whim with tiger patch muffler tape. Which is a short term permanent fix for something that should be removable.Sound? Honestly doesn't sound much different than the original stock exhaust. Its a little louder, and a little bassier. Total waste of money and is really dangerous. The price is enticing but please understand it’s this cheap for a reason. There are 2 major issues:1) It leaks air2) Smells like fire and will probably catch on fire within a couple days due to poor quality and build.I’ve had it for 2 days and seems like it is about to explode to catch on fire. Skip this product and go for a name brand that is trusted and cares about quality.

Minus one star for sloppy fit at the exhaust clamp (should include a gasket to take up the space) and the funny smell.If you remove the insert at the tip (one screw) this is basically a glass pack. A large open tube down the center with holes in it and sound deadener packed around it. It sounds better than the oem muffler at higher rpms. Just lightly putting around it sounds about the same.

Great for the price! Make sure to buy some kind of gasket or heat packing tape/wrap to make it snug when installing. Clean welds, package was in tack, easy install, and it looks pretty good. I would buy it again.

$70, it’s a no brainer. Why bother putting a $300-$500 exhaust on a R3? This exhaust isn’t much louder than the stock one, but it is a good bit lighter by probably a few pounds. It also looks like you put a nice new exhaust on it to non bikers. Wouldn’t hurt to have it tacked on with a welder if you can but it seems pretty sturdy but I may put the stock pipe clamp back on with this slip on as the one provided bottomed out before it was 100% tight.

The clamp that came with the exhaust did not properly secure the midpipe to the original pipe. I bought a better clamp at O'Reilly Auto Parts to better secure the midpipe. Using the clamp that is provided will make your motorcyle have an exhaust leak and a loose midpipe. Other than that the muffler is great and works as intended.

Exceeded my expectations. The system may require more frequent maintenance and cleaning to keep it clean and in optimal condition. This exhaust looks a lot like the Yoshimura R77 Race Exhaust. Sounds better than stock.

Do not get this if you want your motorcycle to be louder! This only gives it a cooler look! Go get the full system. Because the stock cat is still on! Go for the full system! Also did not include instructions on how to install
