Makes jewelry like new

I bought this item to use to clean and polish jewelry. It worked far and beyond my expectations. The polishes included in the kit are professional quality and give professional results. I polished some badly scratched items and they looked like they were fresh out of a jewelry store. I will definitely be ordering more in the future.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Operating speed

Works well. Too bad he came with a gazebo.

This kit helped me bring some old polished aluminum car wheels back to life that needed a little TLC. I really wish it came with the 1/2" mandrel needed to mount it on a drill press. Another improvement would be the inclusion of a smaller wheel and a cone polisher to get into those hard to reach places. But that hard wheel that comes with the kit is a good size and type for polishing car rims with a hand drill.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not bad

An excellent set at a good price

An impressive set for its price. I bought this kit to get my old scratched CD collection up and running again. The polishing pads appeared to be of good quality and attached easily to my bench grinder. The polishes were in good condition (not broken or crumbled) and the instructions on how to use the compounds for your application are very clear. Now I rock like a champ to the alternative bands of the 90's. Very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Something different

Not designed for 3000 rpm?

I set the conditioned spirals and spiral buffs to a buffer of 3000 rpm and they went into self-destruct. The buffer wheel stuff flies all over the place. I contacted the manufacturer and they said the wheels were not rated for 3000rpm and should be used at 1500rpm. However, the Enkay website and accompanying instructions clearly state that the product can be used at 3000 RPM or less. ([.]). I asked Enkay why there is a 1500rpm limit when their own instructions say otherwise, and got no answer.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Minor things

Polishing is carried out on polishing discs

First let me say that only the price keeps it from getting 3 stars, the only thing keeping it from getting 5 is that the polishes were a bit dry when I received the item. I fixed that a bit by putting them in a Tupperware container with some water. The wheels themselves seem to be well made and are holding up great so far. A few pieces of rope will fly off on first use, but that's to be expected. All in all for the price of all this (plus some tap water) you can't beat it.

Pros
  • . Everything is OK!

Easy to use and great results

This set worked very well. Paired with a benchtop polisher, achieving results is easy if you follow the polishing order and use the right wheels with the right wand. Sand and grit by hand first), polishes my car grill to a high shine and also works great for adding a shine to my mate's car valve cover. I will definitely buy it again or separate parts of the kit as needed. I combined this kit with a Powertec BF6000 benchtop polisher.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok

Exactly what I needed.

This kit did exactly what I needed. First, it was a lot cheaper as a kit than buying individual parts at my local hardware store. Second, it came so quickly. Along with wheels and polish, instructions and a chart of when to use which compound were included. I followed the directions and my piece came out great. I bought a solid cut 1/2"X12" and 6 nylon locknuts with 6 fender washers and 6 heavy duty washers, assembled all three wheels and installed them on my lathe. Additional equipment costs…

Works well - prepare surface before use

This is a decent buffing and polishing kit. Follow the instructions and order a good reaming rod - if you plan to use a drill with this kit. You can find it at Revain under Findkings 1/2 Helical Arbor Polishing Sander. This is the best shoe spike I've used in this set. If you are polishing aluminum rims, make sure they are not clear coated to protect the finish, as is mostly the case. This coating must be removed before polishing. Paint stripper and a brush from the hardware store remove the…

Works decently but spits out lint like nothing else.

Good value for money, 3 different wheels and 4 compounds. I've used it to remove hairline scratches on expensive Japanese knives caused by cheap plastic sheaths. They weren't very deep, but noticeable in certain lighting conditions. I used 1k-1.5k-2k-2.5k fine sandpaper to prep the knives. I just used a rough white wheel and a finishing wheel. The instructions are somewhat clear and I was turned off. After a while they came out shiny as a mirror. I'm looking for other things in the house to…
