My Dyson must be 14 years old and although the original filter seemed to work fine I decided to replace it. This replacement filter was easy to put in. I recommend it.

The shape of the filter does not fit well in the opening, which when assembled reduces the suction power of the vacuum cleaner. Also, for some strange reason, the detachable tip on the filter sticks out in the opposite direction, which prevents the assembled vacuum cleaner from closing. Finally, the seller doesn't seem to be accepting returns on this item. What a waste of money!

One day when my vacuum almost stopped sucking, I opened it up and saw a worn out filter. It took two attempts to close the door for this filter after changing it, but that was because I was too worried. It's very good quality and you get what you pay for. Judging by how often I change these things (never for example) it was a good deal and I'm glad to be cleaning the house again!

I saw a previous customer who had the same problem as me with my Dyson vacuum. Apparently the rubber on the filter can wear out and cause problems restarting and stopping the vacuum cleaner. Bought a new filter and battery. That helped. I got my vacuum cleaner back. It was a pleasure working with this company. Filters received immediately, even faster than expected. I recommend and will use them in the future.

I ordered this along with a spare battery for my Dyson DC35 and it works great. I didn't have to make any of the changes mentioned in other reviews; mine fits perfectly. Definitely improved absorption. I've washed the old ones many, many times but I don't think they ever get really clean. Replacing the filter also refreshed the air outlet of the vacuum cleaner. I would definitely recommend it as an alternative to the more expensive Dyson replacement part.

Received today and it's almost identical to my original Dyson filter in my dc35. There were a few size differences between them and I had to cut off the tongue to put the pieces back together like the others. I've posted a picture to show the top and bottom as it has just left some space but upon closer inspection I believe it still covers the bottom properly so no particles get into the engine part. My Dyson DC35 was responsive, it would stop and start when I pressed the button and it really annoyed me. After some research I found that it could be one of two things: the battery contacts may need cleaning, or there could be problems with the filter.
