More durable and cheaper than biopacks.

Since the city of Minneapolis instituted organic waste recycling last year, our family has been thrilled to be a part of it. But the added cost and reduced shelf life of compostable bags has been an issue. First, we bought biopacks from local stores for over 50 cents a pack (12 packs are $6 or $7). I then switched to buying BioBag Food Scrap Bags, 13 gallon, 12 (pack of 4) in slightly larger quantities through Revain for about 42 cents a bag. Then I tried these stout bags. SO FAR SO GOOD - Housewares

This is the first time we have tried these bags. However, we have ordered from this company before. Their latest version of the "Bio Bag" was a completely different bag, it appeared to have some oil in it, so of course it was stronger. Since we live in Florida I ordered them for 18-24 months and stored them in a dark pantry. I called the company in Canada before ordering again as I was confused by the name change. and an improved pouch (within the last 18 months or so) is oil-free, 100%…

Suitable for compostable food/organic waste storage

I used to use Commit To Green bags but switched to them after the 13 gallon bags became unavailable. The Commit to Green bags got pretty high ratings and I was hesitant to switch them as many compostable "plastic" bags have bad reviews saying they break too easily (for example if they're still in your kitchen and you try to use them). . for storing food waste or other organic materials).
